AAUW/UWF is holding the 23rd annual Home & Kitchen Tour April 23 to 25. This year’s tour will take advantage of virtual technology and offer the event to viewers everywhere. Anyone interested in our county will enjoy touring special homes, condos, and ships galleys throughout Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, and Marrowstone Island. You can enjoy interviews with homeowners, architects, and designers or attend seminars by local experts including cabinet maker Charlie Rawlins, Studio STL, Evergreen Home Loans, and Peninsula Paint with Rogers Painting Group.
Registration is $25 to access the tour for the three days. Sign up online at the AAUW Port Townsend web site, with an extra donation to AAUW/UWF always appreciated. The organization will email you the tour link along with a passport program booklet to view or print. Alternatively, you can ask for a pre-printed program in the mail. On the first day of the event, the link for the tour web site will be activated. Questions? Contact pt-wa.aauw.net/activities/home-kitchen-tour/.
During the three-day tour, you will have the flexibility to visit as often as you wish. To view a home in a 3D virtual environment, just select the home on screen and use your mouse to move through it. You’ll be able to look up and down, move forward, or move backward. You can pause at any point you like (such as on an interesting kitchen design) and learn more about it. You can even attend a virtual seminar. If you just want to relax, you can set the tour to automatic mode and sit back to enjoy the walk-through.
When you buy admission to the tour you are helping AAUW/UWF, which has raised scholarship and educational funds for students in Jefferson County for more than 70 years. Because of the recent strain on our economy and schools, it has become critical to provide support to our schools and students.
