PLYC Opening Day — May 14th

by Ramsey Smith, PLYC Port Captain

Port Ludlow Yacht Club (PLYC) welcomes the public to our “Opening Day Ceremony” at the Marina on Saturday, May 14 from 10 am – noon.

The festivities are always captivating whether you own a boat or not. Bagpipes, past Commodores marching, raising of our national ensign, and the roar of the cannon inaugurating the first day of boating season are just a few of the activities. A flagpole observance consisting of a convocation, flag ceremony, and declared start of the boating season begins at approxi- mately 10 a.m. and lasts about thirty minutes. Immediately following the ceremony, christening of new boats to the club will take place on “A” dock. Club members finalize the celebration by saluting our 2022 Commodore Bryan Gilbreath with a traditional cruise around Ludlow Bay by PLYC member boats. We look forward to seeing you there!

Whether you are new to Port Ludlow or simply seeking your next adventure, please consider joining us. Your first meal will be free with one of our Flag Officers as your host for the evening. To express your interest in visiting, please complete the form on our website at plyc.us/visit.
