Maritime Theme for First Wednesday Lunceon

Daniel Evans, whose role is race boss for the Northwest Maritime Center and the Wooden Boat Festival, will speak at the First Wednesday Luncheon on October 5 He will share films of the Race to Alaska (R2AK) from the past few years, as well as his insights into future races.

The event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be held again at the Beach Club. Participants are asked to bring donations in the form of checks made payable to Tri-Area Food Bank. Cash, non-perishable food, or hygiene products for the food bank are also welcome. The luncheon will include a raffle, with proceeds used to support the food bank during the two summer months the luncheon is on hiatus.

Due to continued uncertainty regarding the Covid pandemic, the organization is asking attendees to bring their own lunch and any needed utensils. The First Wednesday group will provide cookies, coffee, tea, and water.
