Dove House Golf Benefit, Aug. 27

by Barbara Berthiaume

The ninth annual Dove House Golf Benefit will be held on Friday, Aug. 27, at the Port Ludlow Golf Club. This event, sponsored by the Olympic Peninsula Bluebills, will kick off with a shotgun start at noon.

The fee is $110 for the general community and $65 for Port Ludlow members. Fees include a golf cart, box lunch, winner prizes, raffle prizes, and an awards ceremony with a lasagna dinner catered by God Bless Food.

Dove House will receive 100 percent of all donations, which will help alleviate dangerous living situations for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Items not in the Dove House budget include such things as personal care products, emergency housing, transportation, and school supplies. These are just a few of the things that can ease the lives of traumatized families. Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $100,000 on behalf of Dove House clients and in 2018 the Bluebills presented a check to Dove House for $19,000.
