For over 25 years Dine and Discover has been a highly valued and well attended event in Port Ludlow. Although it will likely be some time before we can comfortably and safely return to the traditional potluck format, we are bringing Dine and Discover back with a new (temporary) format and name. We are calling it Dessert and Discover, and it will involve dessert provided by the Dine and Discover team followed by a speaker or presentation.
Mark your calendar for Monday, October 3, at the Beach Club. The speaker will be Don Cooper who will be ably assisted by Allan Kiesler. Don will share his extensive knowledge of the history of Port Ludlow. Don’s great grandfather jumped ship and settled in Port Ludlow in 1848. Don visited family in Port Ludlow for 64 years before moving here in 2001, so he has seen and experienced a lot of changes.
Out of an abundance of caution, seating will be limited to 70 and everyone is encouraged to wear a mask. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m., with dessert served at 6:30. Signup sheets will be available at the Beach Club starting Thursday, September 1. Cost will be $1 per person and will be collected at the door. Coffee, tea, water, cake, and utensils will be provided. When you sign up, please provide a phone number and email address so that we can contact you should plans change for any reason.
